What To Do

The City of Proctor measures only three square miles, but there are incredible year-round activities available in this quaint community.  For bikers and hikers, we have trails for every skill level and easy access to the highly-rated Williard Munger Trail, the extensive Duluth trails, the award-winning Spirit Mountain Bike Park, Jay Cooke State Park  and the Lake Superior Trail.  Winter or Summer Trails…come to Proctor.

For ATV and OHV riders, Proctor works closely with clubs to designate and develop miles of trails that will run from border to border.  We are currently working with regional planners on a Comprehensive Trails Plan, and have recently opened up our city streets so riders can seamlessly ride throughout St. Louis County.

Snowmobilers have access right from our hotels to miles of connected regional trails with plenty of trailer parking.  We are a proud sponsor of two national events:  Amsoil Snocross and ALS Black Woods Blizzard Tour.

Proctor is the primary entrance to Spirit Mountain and all that has to offer year-round.  For great family fun, spend a few days at the Adventure Park with the Alpine Coaster, Zip Line, Chairlift Rides, Jumping Pillow, Disc and Mini Golf. Spirit Mountain offers unbelievable skiing and snowboarding with incredible views overlooking Duluth and the St. Louis River Basin.

In the summer, we welcome you to the Proctor Golf Course, Dirt Floor Arena, Fairgrounds and Proctor Speedway.
